New Express Train Connecting Miraj and Nizamuddin ‘Superfast Darshan Express’ to Run from Miraj, Reaching Delhi in 25 Hours
The new ‘Superfast Darshan Express’ has started its journey between Miraj and Nizamuddin (Delhi) on Sundays, commencing from the 6th of the month. This new train connection provides travelers from Miraj with an additional railway option to travel to North India. The extension of the weekly Darshan Express (Train No. 12493/94) from Pune to Hazrat Nizamuddin has now reached Miraj, a development championed by Shri. Sanjay Patil.
The Darshan Express departs from Miraj every Sunday morning at 4:50 AM, reaching Pune at 11:00 AM, Lonavala at 12:05 PM, Kalyan at 01:25 PM, Vasai Road at 02:25 PM, Vapi at 03:05 PM, Surat at 04:55 PM, Vadodara at 06:38 PM, Ratlam at 10:00 PM, and finally arrives at Kota at 01:05 AM. The train then reaches Nizamuddin station at 06:45 AM on Monday mornings.
For the return journey, the train departs from Nizamuddin at 09:40 PM every Friday, reaching Miraj at 01:00 AM on Sunday mornings. This new Superfast Darshan Express is designed to cover the distance to Delhi in just 25 hours, providing passengers with a comfortable and time-efficient travel option.

With the completion of the doubling of the Pune-Miraj railway line, there will be further expansions of express train services up to Miraj. This new express connection will offer travelers the convenience of connecting to destinations like Goa, Nizamuddin, Kolhapur, and Mysore.
The Railway Passenger Associations have played a crucial role in advocating for this new Darshan Express, which is expected to benefit many passengers traveling between Miraj and Delhi.
